1976 hardback edition published by the Wizards Bookshelf, Minneapolis -- the Corrected Text Edition (1883) and is a translation into poetic English by Richard Laurence after the old Ethiopic text was discovered by the Scottish explorer James Bruce in 1773 after 1500 years of obscuration. 240 pages includes informative 48 page introduction by Lyman Abbott (author of "The Evolution of Christianity"). New Notes and Index. Originally Rejected by the Church, THE BOOK OF ENOCH (aka Enoch 1) is read as an Apocryphal text and studied by Christians,  Mormons, Muslims, students of Kabbalah (Qabbalah, Zohar) and theosophy, Gnostic Biblical History and Comparative Religion Students, Scholars, Historians, Free Thinkers, Atheists, New Age Thinkers, Angel Researchers and other voracious readers. Laurence's first translation was in 1821 and again, as stated above, this reprint is of the corrected edition, compiled from his research notes and culminating in the revised editon. H. P.
