Information & Shipping

Welcome to Faustus Antiquarian. A bookseller based in rural Dorset, England. Faustus Antiquarian was launched in February 2020, conceived by a love for the finest of occult books and the aim to provide rare out-of-print editions, grimoires, ceremonial magic texts, academic esoterica and related volumes.

We will be adding new titles regularly, so check back to see the latest additions and sign up to the mailing-list if you'd like advance news on acquisitions etc. We are also always interested in evaluating collections, buying occult books and selling on consignment. Postage Costs & Shipping:

We thought it would be helpful to inform you of how we organise our postage costs and shipping services. It is our aim for you to receive your books as quickly and safely as possible. 

All our books are carefully packaged to ensure safe transit and arrival. We are book obsessives ourselves, so this is paramount to us.

As for postage - all our packages / books under 2kg are shipped via UK Royal Mail. All our shipments are sent with a tracking number, which you will be provided with upon shipment. This does increase the shipping costs but it also means you have peace of mind and we can see the progress of a shipment. All international orders are shipped via Royal Mail 'Tracked and Signed For' airmail service. 

Postage Costs - We have set a standard shipping fee across most of our catalogue, which equates to the average cost of shipping a book using the above service. This is set at:

  • UK - 1st class, signed for service: £4.50 per item  (up to a maximum of £20.00 for 5+ books)
  • Europe - Airmail, priority tracked and signed for service: £18.00 for one book (up to a maximum of £60.00 for 5+ books). Multiple books receive combined shipping discount automatically during the checkout process. 
  • USA / Canada / RoW - Airmail, priority tracked and signed for service: £28.00 for one book (up to a maximum of £100 for 6+ books). Multiple books receive combined shipping discount automatically during the checkout process.. 

If the actual shipping cost is more, we will cover the excess. If the actual shipping cost is substantially less, we will refund you the difference once the books have been posted. 

Postage Costs on Multiple Books - Ordering more than one book? The shopping cart automatically calculates the shipping on multiple items based on the weight and actual shipping costs. 

The maximum weight of a package we can send via Royal Mail is 2kg outside of the UK, multiple books which when packed would weigh over 2kg will have to be sent separately. On larger orders, we will source a courier shipment which will be the most cost effective. A few larger books and sets in our catalogue are already set up with this shipment option automatically. We usually use UPS or FedEx for this. Again, we will refund you the postage for any over-payment once the package has been shipped.
