THE VISION & THE VOICE with Commentary and Other Papers - Aleister Crowley with Victor B Neuberg and Mary Desti (Weiser, 1998)

Hardback Edition with dust-jacket. Black boards with gilt sigil. 454 pages. Out of print.

This number of The Equinox series features Crowley’s records of his major magickal workings for the years 1909-1914, when he was at the height of his powers as a Major Adept of the A. A. and was initiated into the Sovereign Sanctuary of the Gnosis of Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.). In 1909, Crowley received and documented his visions in the Sahara. In them, he gives an account of crossing the Abyss and attaining the grade of Master of the Temple. The core of this book is a record of his visions of the 30 Aethyres of the Enochian Magick developed by John Dee and Edward Kelley. It includes Crowley’s own diagrams and the original typescript of the Commentaries.

In addition to the “Vision and the Voice” Working, this volume includes details of a number of Crowley’s other magickal operations: the Paris Working (with Victor Neuberg), the Ab-ul-Diz Working, and the Bartzabel Working. This volume also includes a number of Crowley’s diary entries for the years 1909-1914.
